Pierson College Council (PCC)

The Pierson College Council (PCC) is a group of elected students who meet every two weeks to discuss the various issues that affect the Pierson College community and to create new solutions to these issues. PCC also aims to improve life in Pierson through the maintenance of college spaces, addition of new equipment for basement areas, and creation of Pierson merchandise. The Council is divided into several committees (including merchandise, community service, alumni database, Pierson life, Pierson Sun, and Facilities) each with its own leader and group goals and initiatives. The Pierson Student Activities Chairs and Yale College Council representatives also attend, and any and all Piersonites are welcome and encouraged to attend. The main goals of PCC are:

  • to represent the views of Pierson students to the Pierson College Administration and the University at large;
  • to aid the Pierson College Administration in projects affecting Pierson students;
  • to serve as a forum for the discussion of social, political, and ethical issues of concern to the Pierson community.
