Head of College’s Office

The Head of College is the chief administrative officer and the presiding faculty presence in the college. In this role, Professor Crystal Feimster is responsible for the physical well-being and safety of students in the residential college, as well as for fostering and shaping the social, cultural, and educational life and character of the college. She and her husband Dani, the Associate Head of College, live in the Pierson house (aka Leitner House) within Pierson College. During the year, they host lectures, study breaks, teas (intimate gatherings during which students have the opportunity to engage with renowned guests from the academy, government, or popular culture), and other events.

The Pierson College office is staffed by Senior Administrative Assistant Taunya Williams, Operations Manager Tamelia Fleming, and Service Assistant James Byrd. The office of Dean Tasha Hawthorne with the Assistant to the Dean, Elaine Lincoln, is also located in the Pierson College office. Pierson Aides, generally sophomores, juniors or seniors, are on hand to help keep the office running smoothly. The staff and aides handle anything having to do with life at Pierson, including but not limited to providing keys, facilitating events and activities in the college, and providing access to facilities such as the gym, buttery, and music rooms. The office is the place to go with any questions about college life and use of Pierson spaces.

Pierson College office is open Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.
