Amani Hill is a sophomore and candidate for a double major in English and Art (with a concentration in filmmaking). She is passionate about social issues and fighting for justice. She does so on Yale’s campus by serving on the board for the Black Solidarity Conference, which invites approximately 700 students onto the campus each year. She also regularly attends meetings for Yale’s Black Women’s Coalition. Amani also enjoys filmmaking. Outside of coursework from the Art major, she works on projects throughout the year with her filmmaking team, Twenty Lux. Amani is inspired daily by Rihanna and there’s a 90% chance that when her earbuds are in that she’s listening to J. Cole.
