Girish Motwani
Name: Girish Motwani
Hometown: Sint Maarten (Yes, the island in the Caribbean!)
Master of Public Health in Health Policy, Management, and Global Health at the Yale School of Public Health
Girish was born and brought up on a 34-square mile island in the northeastern part of the Caribbean archipelago called Sint Maarten, which has been peacefully shared by the Dutch and French for centuries now. Though he enjoys reveling in many things Caribbean (food, dance, and music), he identifies most strongly as an Indian (his parents immigrated to the island for business opportunities more than 30 years ago) and is hoping to eventually enjoy a career as a healthcare entrepreneur in India. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Environmental Biology at UC Berkeley in May 2014 and started the Master of Public Health program at the Yale School of Public Health thereafter. Whenever he can, Girish enjoys traveling, scuba diving, jet skiing, eating, and doing anything that is related to dogs.
