Beatrice Brown

Hi Pierson! My name is Beatrice (Bea) Brown. I’m a first-year law student at YLS and I’m from Long Island, New York. I was in Pierson College and graduated from Yale in 2019, where I majored in Ethics, Politics, & Economics. During undergrad, I was a flutist for the Yale Symphony Orchestra, the Yale Concert Band, DPops, and a few other smaller groups.

I then completed my Master of Bioethics (MBE) in 2020 at Harvard Medical School before working in health policy research at Brigham & Women’s Hospital for a group called the Program On Regulation, Therapeutics, & Law.

My academic and professional interests include reproductive rights and health law/bioethics more broadly. At the law school, I’m involved with the Yale Journal of Health Policy, Law, and Ethics; the Yale Journal of Law and Feminism; the Jewish Law Student Association; HAVEN Free Clinic Medical-Legal Partnership; and the Lowenstein Project.

I’m happy to chat about any questions you may have about Yale, law school, master’s programs, bioethics, or publication in peer-reviewed journals—please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m so excited to be back in Pierson, and I’m very much looking forward to getting to know everyone!
